NEW!! Key Word Transformation Exercise 11 – Gerunds and Infinitives



For B2 learners.

Complete the second sentence so that the meaning is very similar to the first, using the key word in bold.

Use between two and five words, including the key word.


Do NOT change the key word at all.

Contractions (I’m, can’t, etc) count as two words.


Exercise 11: Verb Patterns – Verbs + gerund or infinitive

1. It was such a surprise to see Ava at her ex-husband’s wedding.

6. Ursula wishes she hadn’t gone to the concert with Frank.

Ursula ____________ to the concert with Frank. ENJOY
