1. What are your favourite words in English?

3. Are there any words or expressions that annoy you, perhaps because you hear them all the time?
4. What English word or phrase have you learnt recently? What does it mean?
5. Can you think of a word in your language which is difficult to translate into English?
6. Do you think it is important to have a large vocabulary? Why or why not?
7. What different strategies can language learners use to expand their vocabulary?
8. Have you come across a word recently in your own language that you didn’t know the meaning of? Perhaps it was something very colloquial.
