Every spring, great white sharks embark on a mysterious journey from the California coast. They head to a mid-ocean zone off Baja California known as the Shark Café.
Here, they dive and rise repeatedly, possibly hunting squid or socialising. Despite its name, it’s not a café but a fascinating gathering spot that puzzles scientists. By tagging and tracking these sharks, researchers hope to uncover the secrets of the Shark Café and learn more about these enthralling creatures.
